What's on in Teddington is brought to you by the Landmark Arts Centre, The Abercorn Arms, The King's Head, The Lensbury and The Wharf.  

Welcome to your weekly What's on in Teddington.  

Every Thursday we round up all the eye-catching events occurring in your area over the weekend.

Saturday 4 November 

Thames Philharmonia, Landmark Arts Centre, 6:45pm

Thames Philharmonia return with of programme of: Schubert - Symphony No. 4; Bruch - Violin concerto No.1; Beethoven - Symphony No. 6 (Pastoral). With Violin Soloist David Gale and Music Director Vladimir Choi 

Introduction to Icon painting (two days), Landmark Arts Centre, 9am-4pm 

This intensive weekend workshop will introduce you to each stage of this fascinating process, using traditional methods and materials to create your own version of an archetypal Byzantine or Russian icon. By the end of the course, you will have a working knowledge of natural pigments, learnt how to use imitation gold leaf, attained foundational painting skills in egg tempera and understand the art historical significance of the image. All specialist materials and resources will be provided. 

Rag Christmas Tree workshop, 7 The Causeway, 10am-1pm 

Join us for a winter morning of creativity and learn how to make a quirky vintage inspired Christmas tree out of hessian and upcycled fabrics using the traditional craft of rag rugging. 

Sunday 12 November 

Remembrance Sunday, Christ Church, Christ Church Avenue, 10:45am 

Service begins at 10.55am promptly, and commences with a period of Remembrance for those who died in the World Wars. We have prayer, the Last Post & Reveille, a time of silence and conclude that part of our service with further prayer. 

Remembrance Sunday Service, The Royal British Legion, 10am 

Parade to Teddington Hospital War Memorial at 10.15am for arrival at 10.45am where wreaths will be laid. Councillor Phil Giesler will be in attendance.  

Sunday Quiz, The Abercorn Arms, 7:30pm 

Get your thinking caps on and sharpen your competitive streak with a pub quiz! 1st prize is a £50 tab voucher with rollover jackpot questions. Food served until 10pm.
