Vet and author Jonathan Hollins is to join wild life writer James Fair for an exclusive chat on nature, conservation and animals this evening, 9 November.

Locals and enthusiast are invited to listen to tales of island vetting at Teddington Library at 7pm.

Mr Hollins has noit looked back after swapping life in the UK for the South Atlantic, especially since his move abroad helped save the life of a 191 year old celebrity tortoise, also named Jonathan!

These tales are not only full of wonderful creatures but steeped in unique local history, cultures and people, far removed from the hustle of modern life.

Mr. Fair spent 18 years as a writer and commissioning editor at BBC Wildlife Magazine. In his time there, he interviewed most of the prominent personalities in the field of wildlife conservation, including David Attenborough, Chris Packham and Jane Goodall.

Tickets for the event are £4.50 and can be booked online. The event is part of the Richmond reads season.
