DISCO SOUL at Teddington

Friday 22 May, Teddington Constitutional Club, 7.30pm - midnight.

Disco Soul is returning to Teddington this Friday (Image supplied)

Fancy a night out? Do you love 70's disco and soul music, with a handful of 60's Motown and maybe a splash of Northern soul thrown in for good measure? If you answer "YES!", put on your boogie shoes, sprinkle disco glitter (not essential but encouraged!) and pop down to Teddington Constitutional Club where DJ's "Disco Sue" and "Markus" will play your favourite songs (on old-school vinyl). Join a friendly (if slightly worn out) crowd reliving their youth, strutting their stuff on the dancefloor, or just sitting with a drink and enjoying the great music.

Gavin Fairhall Lever

Friday 22 May, Landmark Arts Centre, Doors Open at 7.15pm.

The Landmark Arts Centre is located on Ferry Road, Teddington (Image supplied)

avin Fairhall Lever are a stunning explosion of colour in the wild and unruly garden of the London folk scene. A tangle of roots from Northern Ireland, Cornwall and Norfolk gives exuberant life to a truly contemporary folk music, full of thorns and flowers.

The trio bring together the exhilarating, joyful tumble of Celtic trad, a melodic warmth, vibrant rhythmic invention, and the subtle expressivity of jazz harmony. Tunes unfold like stories, with dynamic and textured arrangements keeping the pages turning, from chapters of luminous stillness into passages of unstoppable drive.
