Sound of the Sirens + support: The People Versus

Sound of the Sirens are a singer-songwriting duo based in Exeter, Devon comprising of Abbe Martin & Hannah Wood. Honing their craft over the past decade, they have cemented themselves as firm favourites not only on the Westcountry scene, but nationally, and internationally too. 

Their musical and vocal dexterity dovetail beautifully on co-written songs, which range from beautiful, emotive ballads, to up-beat, foot stomping, hands in the air, sing-along anthems. Their latest album, 'Damage Control', is released March 22.

Time: 8pm

Tickets: £15 advance / £18 on door.

Dean Friedman in concert at the Landmark Arts Centre

Hailed by critics and fans alike as a one of the finest songwriters of his generation, Dean Friedman has achieved legendary status for chart-topping hits including, Ariel, Lucky Stars, Lydia and more. 

Join Friedman for an evening of powerful, poignant, hilarious songs about the ordinary and extraordinary lives we share.

The Mulberry Centre's 21st Birthday Gala Concert

In 2022, The Mulberry Centre comes of age celebrating their 21st birthday. Since they were established, they have provided services to support more than 15,000 people.

Among the events during the year to celebrate this special birthday will be a spectacular concert to be given by the Richmond Orchestra, together with pianist Rachele Howes, featuring music by Weber, Shostakovitch, Schubert and Dvorak.

Join them on Saturday 7th May (the concert starts at 7:30pm) for a wonderful evening of music performances at the beautiful church of St Michael and All Angels, Bedford Park (100 metres from Turnham Green station).

All profits will go to The Mulberry Centre.

Tickets are £15 (reduced to £10 for students and under-16's), and can be purchased here.

The Mulberry Centre is the only cancer information and support centre in the local area delivering free services to all people affected by diagnosis: to patients, family, carers and those bereaved by cancer. As a charity, we rely on donations, grants, and local fundraising to provide support to people affected by cancer in our local community.

Spoon Carving at United Response, Teddington

How about trying something different in 2022? Come along to our Sunday morning crafting session and learn how to make your very own wooden cooking spoon.

In this friendly, fun small-group session, experienced local spoon carver Eleanor Morgan will guide you through all the steps, showing you how to safely carve a spoon from local wood, using just two different knives.

You'll find yourself lost in a world of wood chips and the beautiful facets of the natural product as you're taken through the spoon carving process from beginning to end. Starting with a wooden blank, Eleanor will teach you how to create your very own cooking utensil to take home and show off to family and friends!
