Treasure Island - Reading at Hampton Hill Theatre

Hampton Hill Theatre's children show returns for the October half term this year and production company Teddington Theatre Club are hoping to attract a diverse cast with a range of abilities and experience.

You may think you know the story of Treasure Island, but you've never seen it like this! Jago Hazzard plays fast and loose with his creative licence in his silly retelling of the Robert Louis Stevenson classic. In this mixed gendered madness, Jim Hawkins negotiates sailing the high seas with Squire Trelawny, Long John Silver...and his parrot, Ben Gunn and plenty of other mad characters he meets along the way.

Hampton Hill Theatre's version will be physical, playful pandemonium, and geared towards adults and children alike for some half term merriment.

Play readings are not just for prospective actors, but for anyone who would like to join in reading the play – or just listen to it being read. The readings are informal social occasions when the bar is open - Hampton Hill Theatre's team enjoy meeting new people and welcoming them to the club. There is no obligation to audition for the play or even to read – and there's no need to book, just turn up!
