The long-awaited return of the Teddington Village Fair is finally over as the renowned event lands back in TW11 this weekend.
Organised by The Rotary Club of Teddington and the Hamptons alongside the Teddington Society, St Mary with St Alban Parish, Landmark Arts Centre and Teddington Scouts, the Teddington Village Fair returns to Udney Hall Gardens this Sunday (June 25) running from 12 - 5pm following a three-year hiatus.
The sun is set to be shining with temperatures reaching as high as 28C on an afternoon that promises a host of music and dance performances, fun and games from a series of Teddington community groups and food and drink from the areas' favourite businesses.
Commenting on the significance of the village fair within the event's programme, The Rotary Club of Teddington and the Hamptons said: "We see this, the traditional Village Fair, as an important part of the annual calendar for the "village" of Teddington, helping our community groups keep in touch with all who live locally, and have some fun while doing it.
"Our stall holders are mainly from the many voluntary services and charities we have in our area. From the Scouts and Guides to charities such as the River Thames Boat Project and United Response, they are all here to show you what they are doing in the community, to entertain you and coax you to get involved..."
Among the music and dance throughout the afternoon, performances will come from the Teddington Dance Studio, the Teddington Choral Society, Teddington's own Ukulele players and a series of top local youth groups and soloists from the Basement Door, including this years Battle of the Bands winners, Ramfunk.
Families will also be spoilt for choice with the Rotary's famous Human Fruit Machine, badge making with 10th Teddington Scouts, football challenges with FootyFit and Super Science workshops with the National Physical Laboratory amongst the fun and games taking place.
The Village Fair is not the only event making a welcome return this year, with the popular United Response Pram Race also back and will be finishing at Udney Hall Gardens for around 2pm.
10th Teddington Scouts will be hosting their famous barbecue and local distillery Bone Idyll will have a delicious range of pizzas and cocktails on offer.
The Teddington Society, who will be marking their 50th anniversary, will be hosting a raffle with over 20 prizes to be won and a selection of anniversary mugs, tea towels, booklets and old postcards of Teddington on sale. Fellow event hosts St Mary with St Alban will also be serving coffee, tea and a range of homemade cakes.
