Open Air Cinema at Hampton Court Palace

The stunning gardens of Hampton Court Palace will be the setting for a unique cinematic experience this weekend.

The amazing West London palace was Henry VIII's pleasure palace, which he turned into a fabulous grand centre of entertaining, which makes the perfect setting for a night watching your favourite film with friends and family.

The screen will be located on the East Front Lawns, with Henry VIII's palace providing an unforgettable floodlit backdrop for your evening.

Steven Spielberg's award-winning new take on the classic musical West Side Story kicks things off on the 12th August, exploring forbidden love and the rivalry between the Jets and the Sharks, two teenage street gangs of different ethnic backgrounds.

Audiences are treated to a trip down memory lane on the 13th. Enjoy your favourite songs under the stars in the cult-classic Grease!

August 14th concludes Hampton Court's cinema experience with another time wrap to the 70's in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

A flat tyre leaves Brad and Janet stranded on a stormy night. They experience strange incidents when they seek shelter in a nearby castle belonging to Frank-N-Furter, an eccentric transvestite.

All screenings will begin at 8.30pm but audiences will be welcomed from 7pm to secure their spots.

Food stalls will be available as well as a full bar and this year's Luna experience also includes brand new seating options including date night deckchairs for two.

Capacities are limited and tickets must be booked in advance so audiences are encouraged to book early.

Hampton & Richmond Borough FC vs Hemel Hempstead Town

The Beavers welcome Hemel Hempstead Town to the Beveree for the first home game of the 2022/23 National League South season.

Hampton and Richmond Borough will be looking to put their bitterly disappointing loss behind them this Saturday as they welcome Hemel Hempstead Town to the Beveree Stadium in the… Henry-VII's-favourite-gaff-derby.

After a largely positive performance against Cheshunt last weekend, Gary McCann will be hoping that they can recreate their attacking zip whilst shoring up the defence. However, Mark Jones's Hemel Hempstead will surely prove a tough test for Hampton, buoyed by a win against Farnborough at home to kick off the season.

In the clubs' last twenty-four meetings, Hampton has a semi-decent record; winning nine, drawing five and losing ten. Although, in the eleven clashes since 2016, the Beavers have struggled, winning only one, drawing three and losing seven. Saturday gives Hampton an opportunity to make that record look slightly better!

Saturday's game is a big occasion for the Beavers— not only because it's the first home game of the season, but also because the draw for the 2022/23 name of the Beveree will be announced at half time! If you haven't already entered the raffle, entries close at 23:59 on Friday evening.

Tickets are available online as well as on the gate.
