Disco Soul at Teddington Constitutional Club

Do you enjoy 70's disco and soul music, with a handful of 60's Motown thrown in for good measure?

Come along to Teddington Constitutional Club, where DJ's "Disco Sue" and "Markus" play the best vinyl records to a friendly (if slightly worn out) bunch of party people of varying ages, who are old enough to know better.

Strut your funky stuff, relive your youth, or simply prop up the bar and enjoy the great music.

This month marks a year of Disco Soul so it's well and truly party time - prizes for best 70's outfit, dance moves and a few other special surprises.

No attitudes.

£5 cash on the door (£4 for TCC members).

Groups welcome (if you're celebrating something, let the club know in advance and they will make space for you!).

Friday, July 22 - Sunday, July 24

Auditions at Hampton Hill Theatre for Guardians of the Pantoverse

Hampton Hill Theatre, home of Teddington Theatre Club, are inviting actors and actresses to attend their Sunday auditions for their very own Guardians of the Pantoverse, written by the club's Daniel Wain.

King Rat, the malevolent, be-whiskered (and occasionally rapping) head of Megacorp (a fiendishly evil corporate empire) has kidnapped some of our favourite fairytale characters and trapped them in his dastardly computer game: "The Pantoverse."

And it falls to our hero, Jack - fresh from his exploits with a certain beanstalk – to rescue them.

To succeed, he must navigate various, ingenious levels of the game, retrieving special panto icons as he goes – the magic lamp, the glass slipper etc. Into this interactive, virtual world we'll mix all the usual panto silliness – the triple entendres, the "behind yous" the cross-dressing (in both directions!) and the audience participation.

Audition dialogue, song lyrics and backing tracks can be found here.
