WATCH: Weekly Coronavirus update from Richmond Council Leader

5th Nov 2021 | Local News

Today Richmond Council Leader Gareth Roberts has given a video update on the latest Coronavirus figures for the borough.

The Liberal Democrat member for Hampton revealed the number of new cases in the borough.

Mr Roberts also called on the government to do more to increase the testing capacity as cases continue to rise across the country.

While there is no risk of a local lockdown in Richmond imminently talk of a new national lockdown continues to grow.

Also Twickenham Stadium's drive-through test centre is set to close at the end of the month due to the return of rugby fans to the stadium.

It is unclear if a new drive-in test centre will be opened in the borough with nearby centres in Chessington and Heathrow the other options for Richmond residents.
