Washed up Seal found near Teddington Lock
A washed up seal was found near Teddington Lock this morning.
Jan was walking away from the lock towards Richmond at around 6:45am this morning and discovered the seal.
The seal definitely washed up in the last 24 hours as Jan walks this route every day and the marine mammal was not there yesterday.
It has not yet been established how the poor seal ended up on the bank of the river.
It could be due to getting stuck with the river being high or it could have even been attacked.
Seals can often be found in the Thames from all the way at the estuary in the east to as far west as Thames Ditton.
