A volunteer group recently organised a clean up campaign along the Thames River near Teddington Lock and Ham Lands Local Nature Reserve.

Save the Earth from A to Z - We Are One (ASEZ WAO) on 4 August demonstrated their commitment to environmental sustainability and community service by collecting approximately 25 bags full of litter.

The clean up saw 40 volunteers from ASEZ WAO and Councillor Penelope Frost from Richmond Council remove litter and debris that had accumulated along the riverbanks and in surrounding areas, to ensure that the natural habitat remained a safe and clean environment for both wildlife and the community.

"Community participation and environmental stewardship are at the heart of our mission taking care of our communities with the heart of God the Mother, and we are grateful to everyone who joined us in this effort to protect and preserve our beautiful surroundings," said Pamela Cordova, a volunteer from ASEZ WAO.

ASEZ WAO say the cleanup at Teddington Lock and Ham Common is just one of many activities organised by ASEZ WAO UK to promote environmental sustainability.

The group regularly conducts cleanups, community events, and awareness campaigns in Surrey, Greater London and various locations around the world, inspiring others to take action for the planet.

As part of their commitment to long-term environmental solutions, ASEZ WAO encourages local residents and organisations to join future initiatives and support ongoing efforts to keep the Thames River and other natural areas clean.
