There's some road closures and maintenance work coming to Teddington.

As per the council's website, there will be a temporary Traffic Order from 23 September, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Kingston Road and Wick Road.

Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in the roads detailed in the schedule, between the dates indicated. The works will be completed in two phases.

The restrictions will be in force between 23 September 2024 to 25 October 2024. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

Nothing in the Order applies to:

  •  Any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle.
  • Anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

From 24-26 September, Twickenham Road will be closed due to work being carried out by Thames Water.

Furthermore, from 6 January 202 5- 26 February 2025, there will be maintenance work being carried out to the footpath on Vicarage Road.
