Fulwell Golf Club shows it's quick off the mark in preparation for the further easing of lockdown restrictions by erecting an awning for an outdoor drinks area.

Members including club captain Nick Adams, Tony Metcalfe and Peter Brice warmed to their task as the giant gazebo will provide the makeshift and traditional 19th hole while government guidelines continue.

Bar and restaurant facilities remain closed.

Fellow member Richard Peabody was enthusiastic. He said:"I love this, well managed, forward-thinking clubs, getting ready for the proposed reopening of bars in July!

"Few buckets of ice, bottles & cans only, self serve then pay using contactless and club systems tills!"
