We are close approaching the time when we can start asking: "What are you doing at the weekend?"

Teddington is BURSTING with opportunities for a glass of wine or a pint of beer and takeaway menus from pizzas to curries, to fish and chips and even LOBSTER at the Railway Pub, next to the station.

Shambles Wine Bar will open its POP-UP shop again tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday (10am-3pm) with a new offering of spit-roasted pork baps and Polpette al Sugo, which is meat balls in tomato with vegetables and potatoes.

Owner Massimo says:"This week we're preparing Polpette al sugo, Aubergine Parmigiana, individual portions of our 'Smokie Florentine' and not to forget our Spit roasted pork (brioche) baps with salsa verde - aka 'Porchetta' £5.75, perfect for lunch or a cheeky picnic.

"In Italy there is only one place to get your Porchetta and that's in the town of Ariccia in Rome... you guessed it, yes, that's where our pork meat is from!

"So 'Pop In' or collect one at 'The Window' for a true taste of Italy. Each week we'll have different oven ready meals, ingredients for a BBQ, fresh homemade pasta, variety of sauces, flours, cheese, charcuterie, fresh yeast, condiments and up to 50% off wines."

Coffee, G&T's, Draught Beer, Porchetta baps, home made Pink Lemonade and Glasses of Prosecco, all served from the High Street window.

At One One Four the takeaway menu for this weekend is available serving from tomorrow and Saturday evening (5.30pm onwards) and Sunday roast takeaway too. As long as you respect the social distancing rules you can enjoy a drink while you wait.

The Railway Pub has become a destination drink for early Friday evening as friends 'reunite' outside and at a distance while they wait for their Fish and Chips or their lobster dishes. Sunday Roast is also available for collection or delivery.

Other restaurants open for takeaway and deliveries include the Indian restaurant Prem, Lebanese cuisine at Ruba and great pizzas and Italian dishes at Pizza Firenze, a reduced menu at Red Peppers and Bar Estilo, takeaways at The Abercorn Arms, the Chinese restaurant Home in Church Road, Moiduls Indian in High Street, Gosia's Cafe and Deli in Broad Street.
