Eat Out to Help Out may be finished according to the government but it is alive and well here in Teddington.

We now have six restaurants that are committed to continuing the scheme in the town.

As a reminder Eat Out to Help Out is a 50% up to £10 discount scheme, launched by Rishi Sunak to help the hospitality industry.

The Wharf are feeling so generous however that they are extending the offer beyond the usual Monday-Wednesday time period.

Here is what they have to say:

"Thanks to the utterly brilliant Eat Out to Help Out scheme, we saw even more of your lovely faces during August, and the entire restaurant has really started to feel like home once more.

"So how do we show our gratitude to everyone who shunned Coronaphobia and ventured out into the unknown? We plan to extend the Eat Out to Help Out scheme throughout September with 50% off our summer menu*, and if that isn't quite enough, we've added some delicious extras that will warm the cockles of your bank account!

"The Wharf offer will apply on every two-course meal from Monday to Wednesday, as well as Thursday and Friday lunch time. We will also include a glass of wine for all diners who visit from Monday to Wednesday lunch time.

"There's no limited set menu to choose from, just our mouthwatering a la carte and daily specials. Remember too, that this offer also applies to our pre-order menu so if the new 'r' in the month means your tastebuds are craving a plate of sparkling fresh oysters, look no further! Just order 24 hours in advance and your discount will apply."

They join the growing list of Teddington restaurants who are continuing the scheme:

The King's Head

The Teddington Arms

Bar Estilo

La Dolce Vita

The Railway
