A teenager has been stabbed at Teddington Lock.

The 14-year-old boy became wounded during a robbery on Friday (14 May) evening.

He was taken to hospital and is not in a life-threatening condition.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police told Teddington Nub News: "Police were called to Teddington Lock at 20:13hrs on Friday, 14 May following reports of a large fight and a possible stabbing.

"Officers attended with London Ambulance Service paramedics but were unable to locate anyone who had been stabbed.

"Large crowds of youths were dispersed and a knife was found. A Section 60 order was put in place, providing officers with additional search powers.

"Shortly after 21:00hrs, police became aware of a 14-year-old male who had presented himself at hospital with a small stab wound which is not believed to be life threatening.

They added: "Police were called on Friday 14th May 2021 at 19:15 hrs to reports of a large group of youths gathering in the Ham area, TW4.

"A Dispersal zone was authorised by Inspector Treacy covering Ham from the border of the River Thames to Petersham Road/Upper Ham Road and Teddington Lock, starting at 19:15hrs on the 14th May 2021 for 48hrs, ending 19:15hrs on the 16th May 2021."
