What is it?

Inspired by Richmond Osmond's 'World Cup of Everything' where he would run a series of Twitter polls to determine the best of something - whether that was crisp flavours of types of chocolate!

However instead of crisps we will be doing a series of polls with hospitality businesses in Teddington - from pubs, bars, restaurants, cafes and delis we want as many businesses involved as possible.

How would it work?

When we know how many venues have signed up we will be holding a live draw via Facebook live before the actual competition will be conducted via a series of Twitter polls with the winner of said poll going through to the next round until we have a winner.

The key to winning will be drumming up as much support from your social media followers and customers so they vote for you. Plus we will hype up every venue as well with a series of preview articles so it's really not too much work.

The prize for winning you ask? Well how about a feature on our website, a day taking over our Instagram account and your own weekly column on Nub News featuring your business - oh and of course the glory of being the most popular hospitality venue in the whole of Teddington.

Businesses such as Girasole Deli, The Fallow Deer Cafe and IL Preferito have already agreed to take part so why not get involved yourself and promote your business?

What's in it for my business?

Probably the key question. Not only will Nub News give every venue publicity via various articles and Twitter polls around the competition we want to generate a real buzz among the people of Teddington. We want this to be the talk of social media and the high street and we know at this challenging time that hospitality needs extra help and we want to give it to you.

Whether you win or get knocked out in the first round you are guaranteed to get some extra publicity so this really is a win win.

The deadline for applying is Tuesday 18th August and we will hold the tournament on Twitter on the week starting Monday 24th August.
