Teddington's Landmark Arts Centre raises almost £3,000 after TV-themed prize draw goes global

Teddington's Landmark Arts Centre has revealed the winner of its prize draw which attracted entries from across the globe and raised almost £3,000.
''Normal People' stars Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones and Andrew Scott from 'Fleabag' signed a print of the Landmark by local artist Jenny Ing after they visited the Centre for filming last year.
The print, along with a photo of the trio on the Landmark's stage, were the main prizes in the draw which ran for a month from May 22.
An incredible £2880 was raised for the community arts centre through the draw after it received entries from around the world due to the international fanbase for the TV shows.
But there could only be one winner and last Saturday (26 June) the lucky person was announced as Julia Brown from London.
Meanwhile, money raised from tickets for the prize draw will go to the Centre, which has had a tough year due to the pandemic.
Lesley Bossine, Centre Manager, said: "The draw attracted entries from across the globe - the UK, Ireland, Europe, the U.S. and Canada.
"We'd like to thank EVERYONE for entering as we've raised an amazing £2880 which pays for almost 3 months building insurance and helps us through what are very uncertain times as an arts organisation."
Martin Nicholds, Chair of Trustees, added: "We're delighted with the sum raised.
"Thank you to everyone who has helped spread the word about the draw too – right from here on our doorstep in Teddington through to the Normal People and Fleabag fan accounts on social media across the world, which helped shine the light on the fundraiser and made us new friends along the way."
