TEDDINGTON'S Fun Factory shop is selling giant blue and yellow Ukraine flags to help support a relief effort led by Twickenham's Prosperity restaurant.
The shop on the Causeway has bought 90 flags, each one measuring 6ft x 4ft, and is selling them for a minimum donation of £20 per flag.
Owner Nick Newton says 100% of the proceeds will then be used to purchase suitable goods to give to Prosperity, a Ukrainian-run eatery on York Street which is sending vans packed with urgently needed supplies to Ukraine.
He said: "We are currently selling 90 Ukrainian flags for donations with all proceeds going to Prosperity Café in Twickenham. We are using all donations to purchase a number of items that can be donated to those affected by the ongoing conflicts."
As of Friday the Fun Factory flags were 'selling fast' with customers more than happy to pay over the asking price as a donation.
So far, the shop has been able to donate pillows, gloves, colouring kits for kids, over 100 fleeces and warm blankets, thermos flasks, torches, over 100 beanies and 20 pairs of polar boots.
Another Teddington business, Simply Skin, last week opened up its salon reception room as a hub for donations and later thanked "amazing" residents for their generosity.
