Teddington: Young winners of borough Christmas card competition revealed

By Ellie Brown - Local Democracy Reporter 9th Dec 2021

THE YOUNG WINNERS of a Richmond borough Christmas card competition have been revealed.

Six artists aged between 6 and 11 have been selected to design cards for Richmond borough's Mayor Cllr Geoff Acton and Council Leader Cllr Gareth Roberts.

The winning entrants come from schools across the borough including Hampton Wick Infants school in Teddington.

Their Christmas creations will be used on cards sent to organisations, businesses and charities that Richmond Council and Mayor have worked with in 2021.

Cllr Acton said: "The standard of the entries for my card competition this year was amazing! Thank you to all the children who took part and sent me their entries.

"All of the young artists showed off their talent and the winning designs will look fantastic on my Christmas cards."

Cllr Roberts added: "With so many wonderful creations to choose from the job of judging was incredibly difficult. Well done to everyone who took part in this year's competition."
