Teddington Theatre Club's Wilde Weekend has been hailed as a 'great success.'
The 25 hour live stream featured performances of a number of Wilde's plays, stories and articles.
The stream was 25 hours in tribute to the 25th anniversary of the Landmark Arts Centre and their ongoing campaign to stay open.
Teddington Theatre Club's press officer, Christine Wayman, spoke of the event's success.
She said: "The Wilde Weekend was a great success and we have over 1250 views on YouTube over the 25 hour period.
"It wasn't without nerves for the performers, who said that being held in the zoom waiting room, was much worse than stage fright!
"We also had some technical issues which meant the directors had to read in on some plays, but that's all to be expected on a first attempt.
"The cast and audience thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we were delighted to have international appeal, with a lady tuning in from Argentina!"
The stream was also a good opportunity for local businesses to advertise their reopening ahead of Super Saturday.
With no set date for the return of live theatre it is now more important than ever to support your local theatre groups.
The Teddington Theatre Club will continue to put on virtual events until live performances are allowed once again.
