Teddington set to play host to special music event in aid of Turkey and Syria earthquake
Roan Records and the Rotary Club of Teddington and Hampton Wick have partnered for a special music event in aid of Turkey and Syria, with both countries rocked from devastating earthquakes that struck in February.
Over 50,000 people have died from two earthquakes that hit south-eastern Turkey and northern Syrian on February 6th, the most powerful earthquakes in the regions for over 50 years.
Thousands reman missing, millions homeless, whilst entire cities having been reduced to rubble.
Charities and governments from across the world have united to provide aid, and here in Teddington, organisations are playing their part to add to ongoing relief projects.
Roan Records and the Rotary Club of Teddington and Hampton Wick have partnered to host 'An Evening of Music' which will take place at Teddington's Constitutional Club next Wednesday, 29 March at 7pm.
All proceeds of tickets sold will be donated to the Turkey & Syria Relief Fund through the rotary club's international connections to the disaster zone, helping to provide basics such as shelter and water and contribute to rebuilding projects.
Roan Records played host to a hugely successful concert for Ukraine last year and the renowned Teddington record store is set to treat borough residents and beyond to another evening to remember, with a star-studded line-up including Tom Speight, Craig Joiner, The Hornets and Bee Bran and Sam Wilkinson.
Tickets for the evening are priced at just £10, with an option for an added donation also available.
