Located on Broom Road, Teddington School is a co-educational state school for ages 11-18 offering a broad curriculum, academic rigour and opportunities for all, and is currently ranked within the top 100 secondary schools in Greater London.

Year 7 students shine at Richmond Libraries' Event

There were a whopping 832 entries for this year's Richmond Libraries' Cover Story Competition, where students from across the borough were encouraged to review a book of their choice.

Sofia in Year 7 was crowned one of the winners of the competition whilst Isabella, also in Year 7, was specially commended. Both talented students are expected to be acknowledged in a special prize-giving which will take place as part of an author event with Darren Simpson who will be speaking on Tuesday, May 2nd at Richmond Lending Library.

Science teacher raises just under £3,000 for Alzheimer's Research UK running London Marathon

Teddington School's Head of Science Mr Taylor took part in April's London Marathon, successfully running 26.2 miles of the capital in a remarkable three hours and fifty three minutes.

In support of Alzheimer's Research UK, a charity close to Mr Taylor's heart having recently had a family member diagnosed with early onset Dementia, the Science teacher smashed his target of £2,200 with a total of £2,893 in donations.

Study Aid Swap Event launched

As exam season and moving-up years are imminent, the parent teachers association would like to host a Study Aid Swap event in conjunction with the second-hand uniform sale on July 3rd.

The event is aimed at KS3 (Yr 7+), with students encouraged to contribute materials including revision cards, english texts, workbooks, practice papers and revision guides.

For those wanting to swap their study aids for those at the next stage or in a different subject, or to simply donate for someone else's benefit, the school has asked for them to be brought along to the next parent teacher association meeting on June 17th or to the second-hand uniform swap on July 3rd.

Year 10 student selected by British Canoeing to represent Great Britain at U18 level

More sporting success to report at Teddington School this month!

A massive congratulations to Alexander in Year 10, who has been selected by British Canoeing to represent Great Britain at U18 level in both the K1 and K2 marathon events at the upcoming German Canoe National Championships, in Reine, on the weekend of 20-21 May.

At 15 years of age, Alexander is the youngest to be selected at U18 junior level.
