Teddington School is hosting a series of Open events for families and members of the community to soak up the academic atmosphere and welcome prospective students.

The Ofsted-rated 'Good' school is opening its doors to the Teddington neighbourhood with an Open Evening, Open Morning and a live event throughout October.

Headteacher Mr Paul Grills said: "We are driven to establish ourselves as the 'School of choice' within our local community, a school that everyone can be proud of.

"Within that, we want to ensure that our school is inclusive of everyone in our community. This is something we take great pride in."

Kicking off the sequence of public events, an Open Evening will be held from 5pm-8pm on Wednesday 11 October.

Visitors can chat to staff and department leaders, survey the school's curriculum and tour the school with a student guide.

During the evening, there will be presentations from Headteacher, Mr Grills, at 5pm, 6pm, 7pm and 7:40pm.

Part of the Bourne Education Trust, the school prides itself on three core values: 'Inclusion, Opportunity, Excellence'. It aims to equip students with the skills to succeed in whichever pathway they choose.

Teddington School sees it as its responsibility to provide students with as many opportunities to learn and grow along the way.

If you want to see the school in action, families are invited to visit school at work.

Tours are start at 9am and 10am on Monday 16 October, Tuesday 17 October and Wednesday 18 October. Mr Grills will also be presenting to parents at this event.

Mr Grills will also be holding a live event for families who cannot attend the Open Evening or Open Mornings, on Friday 20 October at 9:30am.
