The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in Teddington raised over £2,000 for the charity at its Fish Supper and Quiz Night on Friday evening (16 October).

By the end of 2025 Teddington RNLI had attended 1654 shouts, saved 34 lives and aided 334 people needing help. This year, there have been 96 shouts and four lives saved.

An RNLI spokespeeson said: "None of this would be possible without donations to the charity either directly, through legacies or by supporting events such as the Fish Supper and Quiz night held at The Anglers on Friday October 16.

156 people attended the event, raising over £2,000 with tickets costing £12.50 per person and being donated to the RNLI.

Speaking about the event, Amy Francis, head of fundraising at Teddington RNLI said: "A huge thank you to the Teddington community and the staff at the Anglers for their support.

"The RNLI Fish Supper and Quiz has almost become an institution and to see every single seat in the pub taken was amazing. The RNLI receives no government funding so these events are vital in helping us save lives on the Thames."
