Teddington RNLI features on BBC2 programme

Teddington RNLI featured in yesterday evening's (Wednesday, 7 August) Saving Lives at Sea episode on BBC2.
In the episode, which is about the North Berwick RNLI crew rescuing a ten-year-old boy who was swept out to sea on a paddleboard, Teddington RNLI's volunteer crew members are shown in action, rescuing a former Blue Peter presenter, and an insight is given into the work of one of the RNLI's busiest lifeboat stations.
Matt Allchurch, Lifeboat Operations Manager at Teddington RNLI, told Nub News: "Saving Lives at Sea gives a wide audience an opportunity to understand what all the RNLI lifeboat stations do across the UK and Ireland.
"Last night's programme really showed the professionalism, knowledge and kindness of our volunteer crew at Teddington. I am proud to be part of that crew and to work alongside them every day."
You can watch yesterday's episode on BBC iPlayer here.
The Thames is tidal and occasionally the towpath gets covered in water, so if you ever find yourself in trouble on the river, you should call 999 or the Coast Guard.
