During September and October, the council are hosting three interactive workshops for locals to feed into its new climate strategy being developed to cover the next five years.
The workshops are for any people who live, work or study in Richmond upon Thames who would like to input into the new 2025 to 2030 climate strategy, with no prior climate-related knowledge or experience required.
The workshops on 17 and 26 September are resident-focused and will follow the same content and format, so residents need only attend one.
The workshop on 16 October is specifically for those who would like to input from the perspective of a local business or community group working locally.
Online workshop for residents:
Date: Tuesday 17 September
Time: 7 to 8.30pm
Location: Online
In-person workshop for residents:
Date: Thursday 26 September
Time: 6 to 7.30pm
Location: York House, Richmond Road, Twickenham, TW1 3AA
In-person workshop for local businesses and community groups:
Date: Wednesday 16 October
Time: 6 to 7.30pm
Location: Patch Twickenham, 42 York Street, TW1 3BW
Richmond Council say: "Come along to hear about the local progress made since we declared a climate emergency in 2019 and share your ideas, opinions and priorities for local climate action for the next five years in a friendly atmosphere."
For residents unable to attend, the council has also published a survey through which residents can provide feedback on.
The deadline to complete this survey is Friday 20 October 2024.
If you need to request a paper questionnaire or any other format, contact [email protected], or call 020 8891 1411 and quote 'Richmond Climate Strategy Survey'.
