Teddington pub included in The Telegraph’s '500 best pubs in England' list

The Telegraph has released an expert guide to the 500 Best Pubs in England and a pub in Teddington has been included.
Each pub included in the list has been chosen for their charming character, welcoming staff, rich history and – of course – award-winning beer, they represent the very best the country has to offer.
The Telegraph's expert, Will Hawkes, who created the guide, has been writing about pubs for decades, visiting thousands across England in his never-ending search for perfection, and each of the establishments on the list has been tried and tested.
The Teddington pub that made the list is the Masons Arms on Walpole Road.
Speaking about why the pub made the list, Hawkes wrote: "This is half classic London backstreet pub, half shrine to beer.
"A floral carpet and darts board account for the former; a truly impressive selection of beer-related advertising and paraphernalia (trays, jugs, old cans, to name three elements), the latter. Landlady Rae Williams clearly loves beer.
"Things are done pretty traditionally here, so food comes in the form of bread rolls (crisps, nuts, etc) and children and dogs are allowed in the beer garden only. A digital jukebox provides the background music."
The Masons Arms was included in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide 2025 back in October.
