A rock-themed, alternative barbershop which aims to make men feel welcome is due to open in Teddington next month.

Signs advertising a new branch of Headcase International were spotted on Broad Street yesterday (6 September).

Founded in 2000, Headcase Barbers aimed to restore the reputation of men's barbershops by using good rock music, oversized mirrors and traditional barber chairs.

Its stores aim to be a cornerstone of the community - and customers can have a beer with their hair appointment, adding to the laid-back feel.

Headcase already has a Twickenham 'chapter' which boasts a 4.4 star Google rating amid glowing reviews.

The Teddington shop will be opening on October 1 and is offering free haircuts to new customers.
