Teddington mum and son team up to make Bushy Park film about herons

By The Editor 5th Nov 2021

Retired Heather Hamer, a keen Teddington photographer, has teamed with her composer son, Jonathan, to bring a musical flavour to the wildlife of Bushy Park.

The unusual double-act has produced 'March of the Herons' marrying up Heather's short video clip and Jonathan's musical writing skills.

Heather, who lives in Teddington and is on the 'vulnerable' list because of COVID-19 is being supported by Jonathan so they made use of the time together to collaborate on nature-themed videos and uploaded them to Youtube.

She said:"Jonathan is an aspiring film music composer, having received an MA in music composition in Bristol and is now waiting for his first breakthrough. We're supporting each other through this difficult time.

"Currently he's unemployed but using his time to compose pieces like March of the Herons. We hope people enjoy it."
