Richmond Council will be closing the footbridges on Teddington Lock from 8pm on Friday 11 October until 6am on Monday 14 October to replace the Ferry Road Approach Ramp.

The closure is subject to no unforeseen issues or any inclement weather.

The replacing of the Ferry Road approach ramp is part of the council's Phase 2 of the maintenance works at Teddington Lock, which it says is "progressing well".

Richmond Council 24/7 over the weekend to ensure all the necessary works are completed so it can reopen the bridge on the Monday morning.

The council said: "Over the weekend there will be lots of activity and some unavoidable, noisy works during the day and night.

"This is the only option to keep the closure to the weekend, avoiding disruption to commuters and schools during the week."

If you have any questions about the works, you can email the council at [email protected]
