Teddington Lawn Tennis Club offers free lessons for primary school kids

Keeping their kids active is one of the big challenges parents have to face during this lockdown.

Luckily Teddington Lawn Tennis Club are on hand to help out.

They are offering free online tennis lessons for kids across Richmond Borough.

The man behind the lessons and the club's head coach - Anthony Mills - told us all about them.

He said: "I am running free weekly primary schools tennis@home fun tennis lessons that have been sent to all 44 primary schools in Richmond borough by the Richmond partnership manager and school games organiser.

"Our aim is to help support PE teachers, parents and children keep active at home with things you have lying around the house.

"If you don't have a tennis racket no problem, then use a book or frying pan or your hand. If you haven't got a tennis ball then no problem use a balloon or football or even a rolled up pair of socks All good fun movement and co-ordination challenges.

"When we are open everyone including family members and friends are more than welcome to contact me for a free group lesson to celebrate getting back outside."

Teddington Lawn Tennis Club, located on Vicarage Road, were recently awarded Middlesex Tennis Club of the Year for 2020.
