Christ Church's Acorn & Oaks returns this Friday in Teddington offering parents who are struggling with their young children to access support and respite.

Running from 10 - 11.30am on the first Friday of each month, the group aims to offer a supportive and welcoming atmosphere for parents to come and off-load any stresses, and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea with fellow parents or with the adult volunteers who are present to offer a listening ear.

Free to attend, the support group has a range of toys and games to keep children occupied whilst parents aim to take a step back and converse with those present.

Christ Church's Acorn & Oaks returns this Friday

A spokesperson for Christ Church told Teddington Nub News: "Acorn & Oaks is aimed at parents who are struggling with aspects of life, including finding parenting difficult.

"This may be due to having children with special needs, or having health needs themselves. It may be due to relationship difficulties such as domestic abuse or it may simply be that various family issues have taken their toll.

"Whatever the reason, we hope to provide a place of sanctuary or breathing space for an hour and a half on the first Friday of each month."

Parents interested can contact Gerardine at Christ Church on 07577889815 or by emailing [email protected]
