After the owner of the much-loved Teddington Butcher, Steve, decided to close the shop in December to retire, he has today put up a for-sale sign outside the building.

Steve ran Teddington Butcher, which is on Waldegrave Road, for 18 years.

The 2,100,000 sq. ft premises, including the butchers and two-bedroom flat upstairs (with separate street access, currently has an asking price of £685,000.

Speaking about closing the shop, Teddington Butcher owner Steve previously told Teddington Nub: "Christmas is very, very busy for us and we wouldn't be able to honour anything because we'd be struggling to carry on with all the orders and things.

"So that's why we're closing. We can't get any more staff.

"I'm 64 and I was just thinking, actually, I've had enough. Now that's enough."
