Cycling is incredibly popular in our corner of London - however this also means more bike thefts.

Often this means the police have to undertake a serious operation to get these bikes back.

The police did just that following a series of bike thefts from a Teddington School.

Richmond Police on Twitter said:

"Following bike thefts from a Teddington School, the Richmond Schools + Youth Engagement Team started plain clothes operations to try to catch the suspect.

"Tracking the suspect on social media to a lock up in London, PC Roberts made the arrest!

"Bikes returned, happy residents!"

It always great to see the police solving these crimes.
