A Teddington-based charity, focused on supporting the people of Ukraine with ambulances, pick-up trucks, and aid, sets off on its 26th humanitarian mission to the war torn country today (Wednesday, 25 September).

Mighty Convoy, which is based on Cambridge Road and led by Simon Brake, is taking three pick up trucks, nine drivers, and one ambulance on a 1245-mile cross-country journey to Lviv in the west of Ukraine, 50 miles from the Polish border on Wednesday.



Mighty Convoy is a non-profit founded by four friends to raise funds to buy second-hand ambulances and 4x4 pick-up trucks, load them with aid and drive them to Ukraine.

Since its first convoy in August 2022, the non-for-profit has taken 106 vehicles to Ukraine.

However, it says that it needs donations to help fund its future missions, and so it launched a fundraising page in April.

Mighty Convoy has already raised £84,059 of its £100k target.
