As it approaches its 30th anniversary, Teddington's arts centre is renewing its focus.

Following some recent changes to its leadership structure, including the appointment of Sally Taylor as its new Chair, The Landmark Arts Centre on Ferry Road is entering an exciting new chapter with a renewed focus on community, creativity and ensuring the Landmark continues to thrive as one of Richmond upon Thames' leading cultural venues.

This autumn is set to be one of the centre's biggest and most ambitious seasons yet.

Alongside its upcoming immersive sound and light experience TIME, which is expected to attract around 9,000 visitors over its 10-day run, The Landmark Arts Centre is also set to present a diverse programme of original live music, film, opera, visual arts, comedy, creative learning and community events.

The centre's newly appointed General Manager, Colin Newton, told Nub News: "One of the boldest steps we're taking is to champion original live music at the Landmark.

"Richmond upon Thames has an extraordinary musical heritage, from internationally renowned artists and iconic venues to a thriving grassroots scene, and we believe the borough deserves a venue that actively supports original artists and gives audiences the chance to discover exceptional new talent alongside established performers.

"This season reflects that ambition, with artists including Dom Martin, Morganway, Susan Santos, The Milk Men and The Good Stuff, alongside comedy headlined by Shaparak Khorsandi, our first Film Festival, Instant Opera performing Aida, and Wolf Hall in Concert, featuring acclaimed actor Anton Lesser as Sir Thomas More, with music by Debbie Wiseman.

"Alongside performances, we're continuing to grow our creative learning programme, offering more opportunities for people of all ages to get involved in the arts.

"This autumn includes Life Drawing, Introduction to Oil Painting, Lino Printing, Embossing, a programme of festive creative workshops in the run-up to Christmas, and the return of our popular Autumn Art Fair and Sparkle Festive Fair."

The Landmark Arts Centre's Teddington Beer Festival is also returning for its fifth year, continuing to bring the community together and welcoming visitors from across London and beyond.

Newton added: "The Landmark has always been much more than a venue. Our ambition is to strengthen its role as a cultural hub for the borough – celebrating Richmond's artistic heritage, supporting emerging talent, inspiring creativity and welcoming new audiences to Teddington."
