A new Indian restaurant chain is coming to Teddington according to council licensing documents.

A New Premises Licence application for Takaa Tak, a small chain of Indian restaurants, has been submitted to Richmond Council.

Takaa Tak, which means 'excellent' or 'perfect' in Hindi slang, has opened four locations since its founding in 2016, including three in west London: Hayes, Ealing and Hounslow.

The licence for their new Broad Street branch would permit the restaurant to serve alcohol and host live music or dance performances until midnight throughout the week.

Locals can submit objections until Friday 10 May, giving residents only three more days to make their voice heard.

Those wishing to object can do so by emailing Ana Mirkovic via [email protected].

Objections to the licence must relate to one of the following factors:

  1. Prevention of crime and disorder
  2. Public safety
  3. Prevention of public nuisance
  4. Protection of children from harm

Full details of the application, along with others currently open to comment or objection, are available on Richmond Council's website here.
