Learning to swim is an important life skill - but lessons have had to be put on hold thanks to the global pandemic.

However this week Teddington Pools have announced that their swim school is set to return.

Private lessons to 'existing and competent' pupils have been re-introduced from this week.

After the October half-term group classes are set to be re-introduced.

They will not be able to sign up new pupils until January 2021.

The centre will have to make a lot of changes to comply with new Swim England Regulations.

The centre have said: "We appreciate everyone's patience, we are working hard to bring swimming lessons back in a safe and controlled environment and will have further updates soon."
