Joelle Taylor – The Night Alphabet vs. C+NTO & Other Poems

Join us for a collision of queer futurism, butch identity, & feminism with award winning poet and author Joelle Taylor. Performing from her electrifying debut novel The Night Alphabet, and TS Prize winning poetry collection C+NTO & Othered Poems, this is a rare opportunity to see both texts back-to-back.

Set across timescales and geographies, The Night Alphabet is a novel about the quantum physics of belonging, the secret language of women, & global female resistance.

C+NTO & Othered Poems was named Polari LGBT Book of the Year as well as given a Saboteur Award, and is a book about community, friendship, and the great grief that eventually leads to hope.

Richmond Live Festival

In collaboration with English Heritage, VisitRichmond are hosting RichmondLive Festival. Feedback from previous years has meant we've had to make the event bigger and better than before.

RichmondLive Festival is all about bringing people together to have fun and be inspired!

There is something for everyone, this is an amazing opportunity for local groups and individuals to showcase their talents. With plenty to enjoy on the day... try a taster class from ballet to tango or why not create your very own unique piece of art.

Joining us: Lotus and Laurel Yoga, Lauren Haith School of Dance, Twickenham Academy of Dance, DanceWest, Boundless Dance, Drama & Rhythms, Freedom Tango- Teddington, Powerjam Band Project, The Basement Door, Upahaar School of Dance and many more!

Floral Still Life Workshop

Sunday 15 September, Strawberry Hill House

This 90-minute art class led by Christabel Lear will focus on an inspiring display of sustainable British flowers, freshly picked from Minnow and Wolf's flower farm. Explore your creative side inspired by nature using oil pastels and coloured paper to create beautiful floral artwork. All art abilities welcome!
