Richmond Art Society Summer Exhibition @ Landmark Arts Centre – Friday 21 to Sunday 23 June

Come see what local artists have on offer at The Richmond Art Society Summer Exhibition.

Held at the ever-impressive Landmark Arts Centre, the exhibition will include all manner of art for sale, including watercolours, oils, prints, photographs, sculpture, ceramics and more.

In case that wasn't enough, demonstrations will take place at various times throughout the exhibition too.

The exhibition is open 10am to 5pm on Friday and Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday. Admission is free, with refreshments available throughout.

Jazz with the Peter Jones Duo @ The Wharf – Sunday 9 June

Teddington's iconic jazz venue The Wharf is hosting another Sunday lunchtime performance this week.

Peter Jones is a singer, bass player and composer who has performed at jazz venues across London, including Ronnie Scott's and Pizza Express, and further afield from the Sands Hotel, Margate, to the Speakeasy Jazz Club in Portishead. H

Ian Patterson from All About Jazz described Peter Jones as: "In a lineage somewhere between Frank Sinatra and Kurt Elling."

The Peter Jones Duo will be playing on Sunday, starting from 1:30pm.

Afghanistan Pop Up @ The Fallow Deer – Saturday 22 June

Blind Tiger is back in Teddington with another pop-up night at local café, The Fallow Deer.

Since starting in January this year, Blind Tiger has taken its diners to Indonesia, Korea, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Mexico, and Taiwan.

This weekend will take diners to Afghanistan, with dishes like mantu dumplings, various rice dishes, and for dessert, an Afghan custard known as firni.

One diner at the pop-up's recent Taiwan night said: "[It's] impossibly exciting coming to something that is here right now and gone tomorrow."

Pick-up and dine-in options are both available at The Fallow Deer, 130 High Street, Teddington. Dishes must be preordered by 7pm on Friday, 21 June.

An Evening With Ferrari @ Shambles – Friday 21 June

Local restaurant Shambles is offering diners a chance to try a series of wines from sponsors of Formula 1, Ferrari Trento.

Any bookings made on Friday 21 June between 6pm and 9pm will be offered a complimentary tasting from a selection of the winemaker's award-winning Italian wines.

Shambles says customers are able to get as involved as they would like with the tasting, adding: "It's an informal tasting with friendly people, sharing their skills and love for 'Classic Method' wines".

Diners must order from the restaurant's seasonal main menu to be eligible. Please contact Shambles for more information.

Introduction to Rag Rugging @ Stepping on Out – Saturday 22 June

Try your hand at the ancient art of rag rug making this weekend.

Using recycled fabrics, hessian and a wonderful 'rag rugger', learn the skills needed to create your own rug, cushion or wall hanging. 

Attendees are welcome to use the materials provided, or bring their own – even old clothes work, with t-shirts being very well-suited.

The workshop runs from 10:15am to 1:15pm. Tickets cost £45.
