Teddington RNLI raises £1,500 from Fish Supper and Quiz Night at The Anglers

Teddington RNLI raised £1,500 for the RNLI at its annual Fish Supper and Quiz Night at The Anglers on Friday, 28 February.
The fundraiser saw 150 locals attend.
£10 of each £25 ticket was donated to the RNLI.
Guests of the event enjoyed a two-course 'Special Fish Supper' and the quiz rounds covered a range of topics from general knowledge and history to pop culture and sports.

Speaking about being part of the Teddington RNLI crew, crew trainee Kate told Teddington Nub News: "I love being trainee crew at Teddington and being part of these fundraising events with everyone, really makes me feel part of the crew and is great team building."
RNLI's Fundraising Chair, Amy, who organised the event, added: "It was so fantastic to see so many local people come and support us with 25 teams taking part.
"A huge thanks to The Anglers pub for holding this event for us and raising over £1,500, the equivalent of providing training for a volunteer crew member for a year.
"Alongside the fantastic fundraising, everyone seemed to have a lot of fun (I know I did!) and it's always great to raise awareness of the local lifeboat station."
Teddington RNLI lifeboat station is one of five along the Thames and is one of the busiest in the country.
In 2024, its inflatable lifeboats were launched over 100 times to help those in trouble on the Thames.
Teddington lifeboat station first opened in January 2002 and all of its crew are volunteers.
The RNLI is independent of HM Coastguard and government and depends on voluntary donations and legacies to maintain its rescue service.
