Tide End Health, a clinic offering osteopathy, physio, massage and reformer pilates has moved into an exciting new venue in Teddington.
Tide End Clinic, which was based behind Kirby Pharmacy on High Street for nearly 20 years, relocated to its new home on Waldegrave Road earlier last month.
Run by husband-and-wife team Emma and Steve, both qualified osteopaths, the newly renamed Tide End Health and Studio offers a brighter, more private space in Engine Shed Yard, a former Victorian engine yard converted into business units in 2018.
The new clinic, converted from an office, includes three treatment rooms and a dedicated Pilates studio, which long-term clients say is a significant improvement on the previous space. Reformer classes have a maximum of six people to ensure quality but the clinic also offers one-to-one's or two-to-one's in the smaller reformer space downstairs.
Emma says that with its natural light streaming through the traditional windows, she wants the space to feel "calm, airy, and bright" for her clients.
Tide End Health offers osteopathy, massage, physiotherapy, and both clinical and reformer Pilates sessions, with availability throughout the week. The team includes three osteopaths, two physiotherapists and massage therapists, as well as six Pilates instructors.

The clinic offers both clinical Pilates and regular reformer Pilates classes. Clinical Pilates is tailored to individuals recovering from injury or managing specific conditions, and is led by osteopaths and physiotherapists, while reformer Pilates focuses more on general strength, flexibility and fitness.
This allows clients to move seamlessly from rehabilitation into ongoing exercise as their confidence and ability improve.
The Pilates studio is currently running an introductory offer of £55 for three Pilates classes over two weeks, as well as a two-week unlimited pass for £100.
Emma says this allows clients to try different sessions with a range of instructors and find what suits them best.
According to Emma, the clinic "offers a holistic approach to preventative health".
She said: "That's why we also offer osteopathy, physiotherapy and clinical Pilates. Not only can we help people recover from injury, we can also help prevent injuries in the first place."
Unlike many Pilates studios, Tide End Health combines clinical services with Pilates, allowing practitioners to support clients through rehabilitation and beyond.
Emma says she works closely with instructors to "help take clients from injury through to achieving their individual goals".
The treatment rooms are also equipped with gym equipment to support strength-building as part of treatment.
With ongoing pressure on NHS services and long waiting times for physiotherapy, the clinic also offers specialist group physio sessions to support people recovering from injury.
Emma said: "There are lots of people in Teddington who are focused on their health and it's a real community, so we want to support that."
Steve added that the clinic welcomes people of all ages and hopes to encourage more men to take part in Pilates, which is often seen as female-focused despite being developed by Joseph Pilates.
He said: "Our sessions are great for all kinds of athletes, they help build strength, support recovery after injury, improve control and increase overall resilience.
"Pilates can improve performance and reduce injury risk across all sports - lots of top athletes have pilates type exercises in their training schedule for these reasons from rugby players to tennis professionals."
Emma added that Pilates is also valuable for older adults, helping to build strength and reduce the risk of falls.
She said: "It's important to stay active as we get older because it supports everyday activities, even things like carrying shopping home."
The clinic also works closely with a local private GP and is planning to host educational sessions on menopause, osteoporosis, hypermobility and postnatal care.
Emma says these sessions will "bring together the best available evidence in a way that's easy for people to understand and apply".
Now that Tide End Health and Studio has its own dedicated space, it can offer extended evening hours as well as weekend sessions.
The couple say they have built their business over 19 years in Teddington on trust and strong relationships with clients.

Emma said: "We've steadily built a loyal client base by providing high-quality care, and we're excited to continue that in our new space.
"All our team share our values around supporting people, encouraging movement and providing education.
"We've got something for everyone, and our clients have told us that coming to the new studio feels like a real treat."
Steve added: "People come in and feel like they're taking a step in the right direction, the space is calm and relaxed."
Both Emma and Steve have been qualified osteopaths for 20 years and come from sporting backgrounds, Emma as a figure skater and Steve as a former Team GB kayaker.
Emma, who also holds a master's degree in sports medicine, said: "We've both experienced injuries ourselves, so we understand what patients are going through and what they need.
"We always aim to make sure our clients receive the best possible care."
The number of sessions required will depend on each individual's needs, but the focus is on long-term self-management.
Emma said: "Our aim is to give people the tools to manage their condition themselves. We provide exercises and guidance to support what we do in clinic."
