Teddington Nursery helps support local community

By Tilly O'Brien   9th Dec 2025

A nursery and pre-school in Teddington has been helping to support the local community.

Bushy Tails, which is part of the London Early Years Foundation (LEYF) nurseries chain, helped support this year's Christmas Lights Up event in Teddington by sponsoring the event, setting up an arts and crafts stall, and partaking in the lantern parade.

Bushy Tail's Pre-School Room Manager and Marketing Lead, Kiran Mahi told Teddington Nub News: "We were delighted to take part in the lantern parade this year, joined by parents and families from every room – Baby Room, Toddler Room, and Preschool – all walking together in celebration.

"Our stall was perfectly placed right beside Santa's Grotto, where we sponsored the festivities and welcomed children of all ages to enjoy our Christmas crafts.

"From decorating wooden wreaths to creating rainbow scratch-off stars and festive ink stamping, there was something magical for everyone to take part in."

Mahi added: "As we proudly open our doors to the TW11 community, we hope this joyful event sparks even more interest in our nursery.

"We would love to welcome more children to join us, discover our nurturing environment, and become part of our growing family."

Bushy Tails Nursery and Pre-School, which is located on Bushy Road near the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) and entrance to Bushy Park, previously only accepted children whose parents were NPL, LGCC, or OPSS employees.

However, the nursery has now decided to extend applications to the "whole TW11 community," says Bushy Tails' Nursery Manager, Emma.

Without their community-minded sponsorship, we wouldn't be able to bring you local news free from overly-intrusive ads, pop-ups and clickbait.
