Signalling fault disrupts trains between Strawberry Hill and Twickenham
By Cesar Medina 23rd Feb 2026
Rail passengers travelling between Strawberry Hill and Twickenham are facing disruption this morning due to a signalling fault.
South Western Railway (SWR) said trains between the two stations are having to run at reduced speed on some lines towards Richmond.
As a result, services running through Strawberry Hill and Twickenham may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected to continue until 12:00 today (23 February).
The issue was first reported at 9:58am and since SWR has apologised for the disruption, advising customers to speak to a member of staff or use a station help point if they need assistance with their journey.
Passengers wishing to use local buses are being advised to check Traveline before travelling. SWR tickets are not valid on local bus services unless specifically stated.
Customers who have been delayed may be entitled to compensation under the operator's delay repay scheme.
