There are severe traffic delays in the Hampton Court area after a sewer collapsed on the A308 at Hampton Court Road at midday.

Currently there is queuing in both directions on the A308 Hampton Court Road around the A309 Hampton Court Way, according to a traffic update released an hour ago.

There is also congestion to the Hampton Station turn off, with further delays on the A309 Hampton Court Way back to Thames Ditton roundabout.

The sewer collapsed opposite Hampton Court Green Car Park at around midday.

Thames Water are carrying out urgent repairs at the scene and temporary traffic lights have been set up.
