Seating removed from open air Bushy Park cafes

Outdoor seating is no more at Bushy Park's open air cafés.

As the new November lockdown started it looked as if the cafés would be a spot to grab a coffee and have a sit down after an energising walk around the park.

But it turns out they are all moving to a takeaway-only service.

A disappointed reader of Teddington Nub News said garden furniture, benches and tables had been removed from The Pheasantry Cafe area overnight and fixed furniture fenced off.

A spokesperson for the Royal Parks told us: "From Thursday November 5 all outlets will be offering a takeaway only service, with no seating available.

"Café toilets will be closed, unless they are positioned outside of the café building."
