Seal by Teddington Lock being 'closely monitored' after getting metal stuck in its mouth

A seal in the Thames by Teddington has certainly been making a splash in recent weeks.
However all was not well the seal today.
The seal as photographed above is believed to have some plastic and metallic fishing equipment lodged in its mouth.
British Divers Marine Life Rescue and the lock keepers have been alerted to the situation.
They have reassured residents that the objects should dislodge in the next two days.
Let's all hope that Teddington's favourite seal will make it through ok.
