As a part of Richmond Council's programme to improve roads and pavements, it will carry out carriageway resurfacing works in Hampton Wick High Street and Hampton Court Road.

The works will take place each night from Sunday, 21 July to Wednesday, 24 July 2024 between 8pm and 5am.

During the working hours, Hampton Wick High Street (from The Swan to Kingston Bridge roundabout) and Church Grove will be closed, and a diversion will be in operation.

Emergency vehicle and pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the night works.

Traffic from Kingston will be directed via Hampton Court Road, Church Street, Hampton High Street and A313 (Hampton Road, Broad Street, Teddington High Street and Ferry Road).

Traffic from Hampton Wick will be diverted via the A310, Kingston Road, A313 (Ferry Road, Teddington High Street, Broad Street and Hampton Road), Hampton High Street, Church Street and Hampton Court Road.

Local buses will also be on diversion and residents can find out more on the TfL website

Hampton Court Road (from Kingston Bridge roundabout to Church Grove) will be open but under two-way temporary traffic signals.

The council say to avoid the area if possible as journey times will be delayed.

During initial excavation operations to remove the existing road surface, a high level of noise can be generated.

Richmond Council say it will make every effort to complete the drilling works by 11pm and to keep inconvenience to an absolute minimum.

Residents experiencing any difficulties with the works are urged to contact the council's Customer Services team on Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm by calling 020 8891 1411 and quoting reference HMG/23/094.

For emergencies outside office hours, contact its Careline team on 020 8744 2442.
