The Manager of a pub in Teddington has now moved on and is being replaced by another.

Barry Wilson, who reopened The Builders Arms on Field Lane back in 2024, has now left the pub after nearly two years of welcoming punters and hosting community events, such as the weekly female darts club run by Teddington Women's Amateur Darts League (TWADL) and a seminar on using defibrillators.

Wilson's role as Manager has been taken over by Matt who previously worked as Manager at The King's Head.

Speaking about the change in managers, TWADL said: "It's the end of an era for the original TWADLers as we wave the fondest farewell to Barry, the manager of our home The Builders Arms .

"To say that Barry has been instrumental in the formation and growth of TWADL is quite an understatement.

"Without the simply magical community and spirit Barry created at The Builders since taking the reins, the six of us would never have met, let alone become a darts team and such great mates.

"His continuous support and enthusiasm (in his trademark dry, Scouse manner!) for TWADL has been amazing.

"We owe so much to you Barry, and you will be very, very missed. You will forever be TWADL's honorary manager, and Phoebe our team mascot.

"Cheers to your exciting new chapter."

The Builders Arms was closed for two years before it was saved by a local businessman and reopened with Wilson as Manager.
